 | Midway battles season far from over |
 johnheckman writes "Hard to believe but we are already at mid-season. It has been a very hot season both on and off the track. Race day temperatures have more than made up for that could wet day that the 2008 season started in April. If you remember that Saturday for test and tune was BEATIFUL then Sunday and Mother Nature had her way with wind and rain. We were able to get the race in but it wasn’t easy. Avanti saw Dan Clark win with Jim Peruto second and Oscar Pacheco third.
Formula Tyro had Christian Pedersen show his skills off and he hasn’t stopped since. On that day he won with Ron Beard on the second step and Andrew Stoeckert one down from him.
Continental had the ever present and helpful Greg Honeycutt on the top step.
Formula 1600 was won by Dan Cezar in his Banshee after John Heckman in his, who was very fast on Saturday crashed with Andy Graham. Arnie Levine was second and Heckman managed only a third.
